Meet the Author, Janet Kubik  & the Illustrator, Robin Richardson
Janet Kubik is a retired middle school language arts teacher who dedicated 38 years to educating students in Roanoke and Salem, Virginia. She lives in Roanoke, Virginia, and is the proud mother of one son and grandmother to two grandsons. Janet's beloved dog, Jack, serves as the inspiration and main character in her book Oh, Jack! When she's not writing, Janet enjoys strength training, yard work, exploring different forms of art, expressing her creativity through a variety of textile projects, and learning to play the piano. Her passion for storytelling and lifelong love of language continue to inspire her work.
Robin Richardson is a retired art educator whose 43 year career was dedicated to fostering creativity and a love of art in students throughout Salem, Roanoke, and Lancaster County, Virginia.
Robin is single and enjoys close relationships with her four siblings and eight nieces and nephews.Â
Watercolor painting, reading, traveling abroad, and spending time at the beach are some of her favorite interests and pastimes. Â Samples of her art work may be found here.
